Thank you to our funders for this project: Inspiring Scotland via the Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund and Walking Scotland via the The Ian Findlay Path Fund (IFPF)

As part of the development of Bellyeoman Park and Community Woodlands, Dunfermline Greenspace are working with the Community Council to survey the local community to find out how you use the park and what you would like to see done to improve it.

Project so Far

  • We have so far had wildlife/nature surveys completed at the park, and they are available from us on request. These have enabled us to identify invasive plant species and have them treated by Fife Council.
  • We worked with contractorsIronsidefarrar to get detailed professional designs in place for improved paths and new paths in the park. We also carried out community consultations with them and the community council, which were well attended and very supportive of the proposed path improvements.
  • We are now in the process of obtaining planning permission from Fife Council to apply for further grant funding to turn the designs into reality.
