We will be hosting our third Dunfermline Climate Fair this June
FREE Community Charity Event
This year’s fair will be themed around a Repair Cafe; it will be a family-friendly event with children’s activities and suitable for all ages.
We will have a mixture of stalls hosted by our volunteers, staff members and community groups
We will have:
Children’s nature learning activities facilitated by Forth Pilgrim
Food tasting from our local Co-op community rep
Cosy Kingdom energy advice
Repairing clothes demonstrations.
Tool Library Items for members and new members to borrow and use.
An opportunity to explore the community garden and meet the volunteers, and learn about community gardening.
Free tea, coffee, fruit juice and biscuits.
Arts and Crafts activities
Raising awareness of data centre plans in Fife and their environmental impacts with representation from Dunfermline Creative Network
Volunteer visualisations of a future greener Dunfermline
Please check our Facebook page for updates as the event approaches, as we may have additional stallholders and activities.
Looking forward to seeing people there, the event is free for all. Please note that the event venue has limited parking, so we encourage you to walk, take public transport, cycle, or park nearby and cross the road to the venue.
If your community group is based in the Dunfermline area and would like a stall, and is happy to theme this roughly around a repair cafe model, having some activity focused around repairing and mending, then please get in contact. Your activity doesn’t have to be focused on mending and repairing; it could focus on other climate or nature-based activities, but the theme and core focus of the event will be the repair cafe/tool library. You can link this to promoting your community group.
Some groups who may be interested in getting involved* (please note it will be a small event due to space and money this year, so we may not be able to accommodate everyone):
